Except for Sookie Stackhouse, folks in Bon Temps, Louisiana, know little about vamps—and nothing about weres.
Until now. The weres and shifters have finally decided to reveal their existence to the ordinary world. At first all goes well. Then the mutilated body of a were-panther is found near the bar where Sookie works—and she feels compelled to discover who, human or otherwise, did it.
But there’s a far greater danger threatening Bon Temps. A race of unhuman beings—older, more powerful, and more secretive than vampires or werewolves—is preparing for war. And Sookie finds herself an all-too human pawn in their battle.

Seriously, I've been a huge Eric fan from the beginning. His presence in this book made it exactly what I've been waiting for. Sookie and Eric. Admittedly, her reaction to his declerations weren't what I expected, less actual commitment more implied relationship, but I loved the intimate discussions and cant wait for them to resolve the issue Niall left Sookie pondering at the end. Literally devoured this book in a few short hours. I wanted to savor it, make it last for fear of going back to that dismal place were readers wait, breathlessly, for the next installment but I couldnt stop myself. Charlain Harris rarely disappointments but DEAD AND GONE exceeds expectations. Its by far worth every penny its sold for.
Get it now! Right now they have a few copies left but then you might have to wait and waiting sucks.
